NXT August 28th Review: Just So Much Talking
Last weeks show advertised nothing for this weeks show so let's see what's going to happen.
We start backstage with Corey Graves with Renee and Rick Victor comes in, Rick says he's tired of waiting for his response (to what question I ask) and they will rise. Graves says he's standing right there and Conor attacks from behind and he attacks with a some metal scaffolding while yelling “Stay down Graves” in the most awkward tone. Not off to a good start.
CJ Parker vs. Tyler Breeze: I'm already hating this show! It's Hippy vs. Zoolander after a week of “build”. CJ is wearing the half and half tights. I think even Regal isn't interested here. Chants of “No” from the crowd. CJ goes for the phone and Tyler attacks, CJ reverses the whip and goes for a scissors kick but Breeze runs outside. CJ soon follows and Breeze attacks when they get back in, Regal brings up the point of “Why is Breeze a wrestler if he doesn't want a punch in the face?” it's gonna happen! CJ gets thrown in the corner and a knee drop for a 2. Breeze grabs his phone letting CJ get an airplane spin and drops him following with a senton. CJ hits double knees in the corner and Breeze again ducks from a punch, Breeze grabs his phone and while the ref is distracted hits CJ with it for the win. Boring bad match, I hate both these characters and they're work doesn't help. Even Tony Dawson brings up the idea of it being a “cheap finish”. Winner: Tyler Breeze
Backstage with Renee and Emma. She asks about the feud with Summer Rae, Emma says she has to deal with Rae first before getting her rematch with Paige. Then she'll celebrate with Dance Dance Emmalution. It seems like Adrian Neville will face Conor O'Brian in the main event, I'd like to point it it was an old photo of Conor as he looked nothing like he does now.
Emma vs. Summer Rae: Emma goes for the Emmalock from the beginning and Rae keeps escaping and hits her climb up DDT when she gets up. The 2 do the catfight spot and the fans love Emma so much. Emma is constantly throwing Rae into the mat face first. Emma goes for the dilEMMA but Rae escapes and twists Emma's arm down and then wraps it over the ropes. Rae begins to attack the arm. Rae then does her leg choke in the corner and a seated full nelson with her legs. Emma bridges back for a 2, Rae counters by rolling over for a pinning combination. Emma then gets the dilEmma and her low cross body for a 1. Emma goes for a slingshot but hangs on leading to Rae landing face first and Emma transitions to the Emma Lock straight away for the tap out win. Rae gets up after and pushes Emma out and throws Emma's bubble solution into Emma's face. I'm guessing they'll be doing a 3 way for the title. A good match, as much as I like Rae as a heel she's not the best wrestler. Winner: Emma
We see a video from “earlier today” with Scott Dawson, Sylvester LeForte, Colin Cassidy & Enzo Amore together all talking over each other. LeForte suggests they should all join forces and get revenge on Mason Ryan. Colin brings up the fact all Scott does is lose. Enzo refuses to join, Scott speaks redneck and calls them Jersey Shore wannabes. This will lea to Enzo vs. Scott and I just don't care! Rae is trying to leave and Sasha can't believe what she just did, Rae says Summerslam was named after her (pretty sure she wasn't even alive when it started) and tells Sasha that she's irrelevant, and she's in WWE while everyone else is stuck in NXT. This is being drawn out and I don't see a point. Not very good.
Scott Dawson w/LeForte vs. Enzo Amore w/Cassidy: LaForte is in the most disgusting jacket I've ever seen, he does his usual incoherent promo and out comes Dawson. Enzo gets a big pop from the crowd and he does his own introduction, fans are super into him. Tie up to start and into the ropes leading to the break up. Enzo gets a headlock and Scott pulls the hair to get out. Enzo flips through a hiptoss to land on his feet but Scott throws Enzo onto the ropes from a suplex position. Scott rakes Enzo over the ropes, he then whips and hits his back elbow, knee drop, leg drop combo for a 2. Scott goes for a scoop slam but Enzo floats over and gets a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. It's at this time Alexander Rusev attacks Colin from behind, Enzo gets distracted and Scott hits a back suplex for the win. Just didn't get into this match that much, it wasn't anything special and apparently Enzo is a face now don't know when that happened probably during his awful program with Mason Ryan. Also Dawson & Rusev are now a team, what the hell happened to that Garrett guy? Winner: Scott Dawson
We get a highlight video for last weeks 2 out of 3 falls main event, a fantastic match. Renee brings out Sami Zayn to the ring, she asks how he fells about the match he says he feels conflicted and while he felt good about it he remembers the end result. Renee asks what's next for him, he says he'll be prepared for Cesaro if they face off again and his focus is the same as everyone's (while hitting on Renee) and that's to become NXT champion. This leads to Bo coming out to big boos, what's funny is that one camera shot is a side view of his titantron and it reads “boo”. Fans chant “no more Bo”. Bo says that because fans complimented his match doesn't mean he's a challenger and says he lost, he sounds like a little child. Sami asks why is Bo out here. Bo says he was injured at Summerslam access by Sami and says he's got a lot of work to be like him. Sami says Bo is a delusion crazy person who is ignoring the people, so I guess that's Bo's character. Fans chant “No” at him and Sami brings up that their booing him and he says they're chanting “booooo” the fans then chant boo. Sami says Bo is scared of him and challenges him for the NXT title, out comes Zeb Coulter. He says he warned Sami that he was going to expose him and demands legal documentation showing he can be here. Sami says this is getting stupid (have to agree) and he tells Zeb that after he's become NXT champion he's going to get him & Cesaro deported back to Hell. Jack Swagger then attacks from behind and he hits the Swagger bomb and lays their flag over Sami. Overall this was a really long segment and Bo was dreadful, luckily Sami carried most of this.
Adrian Neville vs. Conor O'Brian: I don't have high hopes here, for as much as Neville is great Conor is just that bad. Pretty much no reaction for the Ascension. Tie up but Neville gets pushed off. At the very beginning it's Conor overpowering and Neville being quicker. Neville gets a springboard crossbody, he goes to kick Rick but misses allowing Conor to press him up and drops him on the ropes then hits a awful running knee for a 2. We go to break rather quickly. We come back with Conor in control but he misses a corner splash letting Neville fight back with kicks. Neville can't knock Conor down until a low dropkick and another low dropkick followed by the Randy Savage clothesline. Neville springboards in but is caught in a flatliner for a 2, a nice spot. Conor misses another corner splash and Neville hits a back suplex for a 2. Neville goes up to the top and hits a 450 for the win. Rick attacks after and they both attack until Graves limbs out and attacks until they attack his taped up ribs and the Ascension get the better of the champs. Ends with them hitting their Total Elimination and to be honest this all fell flat. This was probably the best Conor has looked and the match still wasn't great. Winner: Adrian Neville
I should also point out that they announced Zayn vs. Swagger for next week which is getting high praise online already. Overall this show was pretty rough to sit through, nothing was worth watching in my view and a lot of it fell flat. A very missable show in my point of view that really highlights that while NXT has some great talent they also have some pretty bad talent they have to use from time to time, sadly tonight all of those had to be used.

NXT August 21st Review: Just watch the Main Event
I am super hyped for this show and while AJ defending the divas title and Dolph Ziggler being on the show are a bonus this is all about Cesaro/Zayn to me. Now if it lives up to the hype is the question.
Show opens with a video highlighting the Cesaro/Zayn feud and their first 2 matches sharing wins. A nice video that really shows these guys are top guys in NXT.
Bayley vs. AJ Lee (c) for the Divas championship: AJ gets a big reaction from the crowd and they even chant for her. In ring introductions for this match, just adds a bit more focus onto the importance of the title something WWE don't do with this title. Bayley wants a hug to start and the fans chant for the hug but AJ pushes her down and hits 2 neckbreakers in a row for 2. AJ throws Bayley into the corner, snapmares out and grabs a seated kravat while saying “I'm sorry I'm hugging your neck now”. Bayley fights out but runs into a back elbow for a 2, this deserved a replay apparently. AJ misses a corner splash and Bayley gets her hug and rams her into the corner while hugging 3 times. Bayley hits a corner clothesline and a scoop slam for a 2 then a knee drop for another 2. Bayley climbs to the 2nd rope and hits a back elbow for a 2, AJ is grabbing her mouth with Bayley feeling bad and this lets AJ hit a kick and a shining Wizard for the win. I wasn't that impressed with this match to be honest, the big fan girl gimmick just doesn't work long term for me. Winner and still champ: AJ Lee
We go backstage with the model guy (Tyler Breeze) and his iPhone, it depressed me that he's already been added to the opening as it means they must have plans for him. He stops a random woman and asks her to take a picture of him, another wrestler photo bombs him the same who did it last time. The model is annoyed at this and runs off complaining. Oh so sad for Fandango version 2.
Michael Zaki & Ron Hicks vs. The Ascension (Conor O'Brian & Rick Victor): Generic job squad already in the ring and I feared this would be an Ascension match, they are all entrance and little else in my view also fans don't care about them. You know when I said I was hyped for this show that's been destroyed right now especially with Alex Riley on commentary. Conor hits a kick and his 3 headlock takedowns, tags out and he lifts up Zaki into a double chickenwing and Rick punches him in the gut I asked last time why do that? Rick hits a series of chops and uppercuts in the corner and tags out, they hit the H-Bomb and another tag leading to their Total Elimination for the win. Basically a squash and they didn't even look good in the squash, they didn't even hit their finisher right. Winners: The Ascension
Baron Corbin vs. CJ Parker: Baron's already in the ring. This is CJ's debut and he's the guy who's been photo bombing the model. CJ is an drugged up hippy, or that's my guess looking at his entrance. CJ grabs a headlock and shimmy's out of the corner. He quickly gets the headlock back on and he floats over into a school boy but gets knocked down by Baron and this allows him to get some strikes. CJ gets his boot up and a jumping clothesline. CJ then hits a double knee in the corner and a weird DDT for the win. This was in front of silence, fans are just not into this show and I don't blame them. Winner: CJ Parker
Renee Young comes into the ring to interview CJ. She asks where has he been, he says it's more about where he hasn't been in a hippy tone. She asks who he is, he says they may call him a hippy and he's having a little fun. She brings up the photo bombs and he says that's a harsh word and it's photo loving this leads to the model guy coming out “angry” and he asks really and it's now I realise that this is a total rip off of Zoolander as he's even trying to copy the accent. They argue over the picture and Renee can't keep a straight face, can't blame her as this is laughable. The model says CJ is the joke and CJ goes to punch him but the model guy runs. I fear where this will go.
Alexander Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler: I can't help but think Dolph is being wasted here with Alex who seems barely mobile just from his entrance, he breaks a bit of wood with Ziggler written on it over his knee. Fans go crazy for Dolph as they should. Alex looks for a test of strength and the fans chant “That was awesome” for Dolph's entrance. Dolph gets a quick school boy but Alex shoots up and back with his hands up. Alex gets a boot to the gut and a big (bad looking) punch. Dolph stops the Irish whip and does his strut. They tie up and Alex pushes him off but Dolph gets up and hits a beautiful dropkick but is caught in a crossbody attempt, Alex goes into the ropes and lays in some knees and then dumps him over to the outside. Alex hits a shoulder block in the corner for a 2 and grabs a reverse bear hug I guess. Dolph breaks it with a stunner and hits a Stinger splash in the corner followed by another dropkick for a 2. Alex reverses a whip and runs after hitting Dolph with a clothesline the second he hits the ropes. Dolph hits a low kick and the Fameasser for a 2, after this referring to the match the commenrators say “Dolph must be thinking why did I come down here” he probably was. Alex shrugs off the Zig-Zag and hits a spinning heel kick for a 2, that was impressive. Alex goes to the top and misses a splash allowing Dolph to hit the Zig-Zag for the win. This may have been an attempt to make Alex look great and he looked good but Dolph just out shined him here, especially since this was the first time I've seen Alex in NXT I think they would have been better putting Dolph against a big NXT star. Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro in 2 out of 3 Falls: In honour of Cesaro I now have a big caramel latte by my side for this match. Zayn hits a tope con heelo before Cesaro gets in the ring and the bell rings with Sami hitting a boot in the corner and a school boy for the first fall. Extremely quick here but this is my problem with these matches it often seems like you have to get the first 2 falls out of the way. Sami clotheslines Cesaro outside and hits a double axe handle off the apron, he then throws Cesaro into the steps. Sami just keeps attacking and Cesaro rolls across the ring onto the other apron to get a shoulder block but Sami hits a leg lariat for a 2. Sami then goes for the 10 punches but Cesaro carries him out this leads to a sunset flip attempt, Cesaro breaks the hands and goes for his double stomp but Sami moves and Cesaro then eats an elbow in the corner and another. Sami jumps from the 2nd to the top rope hitting a crossbody for a 2, so fast paced right here. Cesaro flapjacks Sami into the corner and mounts with punches. Cesaro hits his corner punches, Riley keeps bringing up his feud with the Miz in a “remember I was in WWE guys” moment. Cesaro grabs his chinlock, Sami fights back but Cesaro grabs it back. Cesaro grabs the leg and deadlifts Sami into a powerbomb for a 2 and grabs his chinlock again but Sami hits a jawbreaker to escape. Sami then runs into a clothesline for a 2 and a double stomp for another 2. Sami keeps trying to fight back but Cesaro rubs it off for a while and this leads to him lifting up Sami on his shoulders and just tossing him over. Cesaro hits a jumping stomp and a deadlift gutwrench suplex but Sami gets a roll up for a near fall. Sami dodges an attack in the corner and gets a hurricanrana. Cesaro comes back with his fall away slam into a pin for a 2. We come back from break with Cesaro grabbing his chinlock again this leads to a criss cross with Sami attempting a leap frog and Cesaro goes for his tilt-a-whirl back breaker from it but Sami gets another roll up for a 2. Sami starts fighting back with punches and he then gets lifted up and he hits a dropkick. Sami goes for another running boot but Cesaro grabs his chinlock again but this time swings him around, they go down and this leads to Sami tapping out for the 2nd fall. At least they were building the chinlock as his move and Cesaro did go a bit further to get the win. Sami struggles to get to his feet and Cesaro hits a running European Uppercut for a near fall. Cesaro picks up Sami by the ear on the apron and clotheslines him over the top. Cesaro hits his deadlift Superplex, which you can see Brian Cage & Michael Elgin do, for a near fall. That is always an great looking move. Cesaro grabs Sami by the throat and is yelling at him this allows Sami to attempt a small package but Cesaro lifts him into a suplex but that's floated over into a school boy for a 2 and Cesaro grabs his chinlock the second he kicks out but Sami floats over like Bret Hart did to Steve Austin at Survivor Series 1996, for a 2 count. They get up and Sami hits his boot in the corner for a near fall. Both men are struggling to get up, Sami can't whip Cesaro as he's grabbing the rope this lets Cesaro hits forearms. Cesaro whips Sami and they do this crazy looking spot Cesaro loves to do it seems where in a quick fluid motion they go from the set up to powerbomb to sunset flip bomb pin for a very near fall this leads to Cesaro rolling out. Sami jumps between the bottom and 2nd rope on the outside and hits a tornado DDT, he did this as El Generico and it always looked good. The count is up to 9 and Cesaro barely gets it and Sami grabs a pin for a 2 straight away. Sami grabs the hand and hits some kicks, he goes for his DDT but Cesaro stops him lifts him up and walks around the ring, he then shoots him upwards into a European Uppercut on the way down and hits the Neutralizer for the 3 and the win. Fans are going crazy for this match and I have to say it was a fantastic match. Like I said at the beginning it felt like they had to get through the first 2 falls to get the build really going, it was the final fall where both guys really showed what they could do. Winner: Antonio Cesaro
This was a one match show but it was a hell of a match. Cesaro to me is like Daniel Bryan, if you give him a chance to wrestle he'll win the crowd over and they'll stay over with him and Sami has already shown how good he is I'd be surprised if he stays in NXT for that long. Now back to the match I think it was great but the timing of it sucked and by that I mean he has to compete with the Punk/Lesnar and Cena/Bryan matches from Summerslam which were both fantastic. This match is close to them but I liked the Summerslam matches a little better. Still I highly recommend going out to watch this match but it's probably the only match worth watching from this show.

NXT Review August 14th 2013: A hype show for Cesaro/Zayn 3
Back with another NXT review, missed last weeks as life happened and got no link I also wasn't that hyped for it so I'm fine with missing a show. It also means I have no idea what is planned for this weeks.
Show opens with Paul Heyman walking out and introducing himself and says he's out to scout a new Paul Heyman guy. He doesn't know any of them but he's blown away by what he's seen in NXT, he says it's kind that the fans chant ECW at him but he's not living in the past but he's looking at the future which is in NXT. He says backstage has the next Paul Heyman and the next Brock Lesnar, he then introduces Curtis Axel. A great promo from Heyman as always. He says Axel is beyond perfectation and Axel isn't willing to defend the IC title tonight and there's not a human being in Florida who is man enough to challenge Axel and out comes Big E Langston. Big E thanks Paul for coming and says he's man enough to beat Axel, Axel now grabs the mic and makes the match but not for tonight but for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Big E tells him to shut up and says Axel isn't man enough to hang in NXT and this gets Axel to agree, why would that bother him when he's no longer in NXT and neither is Big E?
Curtis Axel (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. Big E Langston for the WWE Intercontinental title: Big E grabs Axels neck but he hits a elbow and some strikes to escape, Big E reverses a whip a couple of floats overs leading to a high belly to belly by Big E and a clothesline to the outside. We come back from break with Big E getting a chinlock and Axel breaking out but getting hit with a shoulder block and Big E's 5 punches to the gut. Axel grabs the apron and gets a low kick followed by a clothesline to the back leading to him putting the boots in. Axel then hits a dropkick and rakes the face, Big E then blocks a snapmare but Axel hits some knees gets the snapmare, the Hennig necksnap and low dropkick for a 1. Axel then grabs a front facelock, Paul is clutching the IC title on the outside he has to be the best manager ever in my book or at least he's up there. Big E throws him off and hits 3 clotheslines and 5 kneelifts followed by the Vader attack and Paul attacks from behind to no effect and the DQ. Big E grabs him but Axel attacks and keeps attacking, he goes to hit him with the belt but Big E gets the Big Ending and counts 5. An OK match helped by the fans really getting into it. Winner by DQ: Big E Langston
Graphic shows the main event will be a 6 man with the Shield vs. Xavier Woods, Corey Graves & Adrian Neville and I'm hyped for this. An advert for Summerslam plays and it highlights how over Bryan is right now, I think I may give this show a watch I tend to miss PPV's live. Backstage with Renee Young and Sami Zayn, Sami says Bo is an afterthought and how stupid Cesaro and Coulter are for claiming he's illegal immigrant and he brings up his challenge for a 3rd match, he ups the stakes by making the match 2 out of 3 falls (I hear it's a classic match) and he ends saying he's going to exposure Cesaro as a coward.
Mason Ryan vs. Scott Dawson w/Sylvester LaForte : I groan so much when I see Ryan come out flexing and yelling, it's so boring. This match is my hell! LaForte tries cutting a promo but makes no sense. Excuse me while I do anything else during this “match” maybe check my Facebook or pour hot oil over myself would be less painful. Dawson yells and Ryan clotheslines him, another in the corner and another. Out comes Amore and Cassidy allowing Scott to hit a chopblock and starts his endless strikes but he eats a big boot, Mason yells and flex and hits a cobraclutch slam for the 3, he immediately throws the other 2 out and he barely presses Scott to the outside to them. Thankfully this was short but it still sucked, I mean the oil barely boiled before it was over. Winner: Mason Ryan
Paige (c) vs. Summer Rae for the NXT Women's title: Rae got this shot by “injuring” Emma with a move that looks like it barely hurts let alone could injure someone, maybe her but not her opponent. An in ring introduction before the match starts. Tie up to start and they trade positions against the ropes leading to Rae getting a head lock and crossbody but Paige rolls through, she then pulls down Rae by the hair and gets a shoulder block this is all very fasted paced. Paige hits a hairmare and chokes Rae with her boot and puts some boots in, Rae catches a boot and throws it back leading to Paige landing face first Rae laughed before doing it. Rae then does a weird choke in the ropes with her leg around the back of the head. Rae hits an inverted Pedigree for a 2 and then a climb up DDT into banging her head against the mat for a 2. Rae is taunting the crowd, she's a great heel I say this every time. In a nice spot Paige attempts an armdrag and Rae immediately locks on a headlock after the float over. Paige sends her into the corner after a failed pin attempt and she hits a series of back elbows. Paige returns the favour with the leg snap from earlier and a series of knees on the apron followed by a gut kick and the Paige turner for the 3. Kind of a flat finish that came from no where but still a good match. Winner and still champion: Paige
Backstage with Renee and AJ Lee, AJ says she's great and she'll be defending the title next week against anyone it could be the camera guy or her Mum. Bayley hugs her from behind and says she's been following AJ and she wants the title shot next week, AJ says sure way not. Bayley then drops the crazy word and this sets AJ off and Bayley says she hopes they can be friends after she beats her and grabs another hug. An odd segment but anything with Bayley is often odd. An advert for next weeks show highlighing Dolph Ziggler being on the show. We're then show that Emma attacked Summer Rae during the break which makes me ask why couldn't Emma wrestle that match then?
The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) vs. Xavier Woods, Corey Graves & Adrian Neville: Graves and Seth to start with a tie up and Graves keeps escaping when Seth tries to push him into the Shield's corner, Graves rolls throw a hip toss into an arm drag and tags in Neville. Neville gets a kick and 2 low dropkicks leading to Woods getting tagged and grabbing an arm wringer. Woods then hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissors for a 2 and Graves back in grabbing the arm again and doing the Scott Hall shoulder blocks, Seth starts fighting back with kicks but misses a high knee in the corner, he gets his boot up as Graves runs in and jumps to the 2nd rope but Graves hits a Dragon Screw and goes for his submission but the other Shield members drag him out leading to Neville and Woods diving to the outside. We go to break with an advert for Punk vs. Lesnar. We come back with Reigns hitting a headbutt on Woods and throws some vicious shots in the corner letting the other 2 double team choke. Dean gets tagged and we get the wishbone spot, which always makes me think of Bulldog & Owen. Dean stamps on Woods hands and hits an elbow for a 2 then grabs a head vice. Dean hits a knee before Woods could fight back but Woods floats over a back suplex attempt leading to a rather cold tag to Graves. Graves hits some punches including Sting's backhands, why don't more people use those? Graves then hits a jumping knee to the face and a Gourdbuster letting him hit his chopblock and locks on Unlucky 13 but the Shield break it up leading to Reigns getting the tag. Reigns hits a big slam out of a suplex set up for a 2, was simple but looked impactful. Seth gets the tag and hits a knee as Graves tries to fight back, Seth then grabs an overhead wristlock. Graves fights back with forearms and gets a sunset flip but Reigns is tagged an he mounts with punches. Reigns hits a jumping stomp and tags in Dean. Short arm clothesline by Dean for a 2 and a suplex which during Graves had his hand out backwards trying to tag. Reigns gets tagged and taunts Graves leading to him fighting back, Graves knocks down the other 2 members and Reigns runs into the post letting Neville get the tag, he hits some fast forearms and a high kick, he goes for the Red Arrow but Dean gets the knees up and Seth gets tagged, he goes for a German but Neville lands on his feet tagging in Woods who hits a top rope cross body for a near fall. Woods hits a high kick and a low flatliner for another near fall, he then hits his rolling clothesline and Sole Food but Reigns breaks up the pin. Neville goes for a headscissors on Reigns leading to both flying out to the outside. Dean and Graves come in to fight and they suplex each other to the outside, Seth misses a splash in the corner and Woods goes for a Superplex but Seth fights back and goes for a sunset bomb, Reigns gets the blind tag leading to the Buckle bomb and a spear for the win. A really good match here, they shouldn't stop the Shield's push in my view they're still really great together. Winner: The Shield
Show ends backstage with Renee and Cesaro, basically he accepts the match with Sami Zayn until Zayn jumps him and it's broken up.
I'm super excited for Cesaro/Zayn whenever it happens which hopefully should be soon. Overall this was kind of a flat show inbetween a hot opening and ending, I only say that in regards to the women's match because I've seen better between the 2 and the end just came out of no where, it was still a good match. Main event was the stand out match by far but it's the Shield in a 6 man they rarely have a bad one.

NXT 1st August Review: Goodbye to the Wyatt Family
It's a day later than planned but here is my review of NXT. Now all I can remember that was advertised for this show was Bo & Sami vs. Cesaro & Kruger but in the thumbnail I saw Mason Ryan next to Tensai so I'm worried when that starts.
Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs. Tons of Funk (Sweet T & Brodus Clay) : Enzo comes out talking, he introduces himself and Colin talks as well, he says as a team they're undefeated and that they're not soft. Enzo says he sees this as a dance floor for some reason, leading to Brodus Clay & Sweet T coming out. Remember when Tensai was rumoured to be feuding with John Cena for the WWE title? How he fell so quickly. Enzo & Colin try to leave but Mason Ryan brings his yelling pointing self out to put them back. The duo walk into double punches and double corner splashs and a double splash on Colin. Mason comes in and hits a cobra clutch slam on Enzo and that's it. No pin nothing. Mason tries to leave but Funk wants him to dance and he does. Pretty much no reaction here and I'm thinking “You brought Tons of Funk here for this” and this pretty much kills Ryan's “touch guy” gimmick. No Contest
Backstage and the Dream is with new NXT women's champ Paige and Emma who had one hell of a great match last week. Dream puts last weeks match over and calls them the future, Summer Rae comes in and calls herself the first lady of NXT and demands the title. Paige threatens to break her face and Rae claims Emma stole the win from her, Emma says whatever and makes fun of Rae being Fandango's dancer. Rae comes up with them having a dance contest, Dream says it's the most ridiculous thing he's heard and makes it so. Paige tells them to shut up and no matter who she faces she'll beat them. We then see a graphic for the main event tag match and an advert for the War Games DVD, I hope they release a new one soon I'm tired of this. We come back to Tony Dawson and Regal talking about the dance off next week and Regal starts dancing as well.
Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks: Tie up to start our first proper match, Sasha gets a headlock but gets lifted up and hangs on for a headlock takedown. Charlotte gets up and escapes a tilt-a-whirl headscissors but eats a dropkick for a 2 and gets put in a armbar. Charlotte floats over Sasha in the corner and gets her splits school girl float over pin which looks fantastic and is called Charlotte's Web. Charlotte hits a nice loud chop which she probably learnt from Ric, sadly Sasha's return chops look extremely weak in comparison and she hits a lucha style arm drag off the top rope for a 2 and immediately grabs a camel clutch to make her humble. Sasha hits a nice double knee attack in the corner and Charlotte floats over the ropes to the apron to hit Sasha she jumps back in hits a jumping clothesline and her flipping low ace crusher for the win. Charlotte has a ton of potential in my book and a really unique style to her. Charlotte is still getting woo's from the crowd but she will for a while. Winner: Charlotte
Backstage Renee Young is with Tyler Breeze she compliments his debut but he just stares at his phone and keeps complimenting what he did more and more, a wrestler photobombs the interview and I'm more interested in what he's doing than Tyler's boring promo. It's 3 weeks in and this gimmick truly sucks and I don't think Tyler is the right guy for it either. A vignette about the Wyatt's play another out there scary video with the basis being Mary's little lamb, I love those videos so much.
Aiden English & Mickey Keegan vs. Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Eric Rowen): Wyatt's come out to their WWE style entrance and a massive pop meaning this was taped after their debut, I love that lantern entrance. When the lights come on the fans explode and chant “Wyatt”. The family attack from the go, Luke hits a corner splash, a spinning clothesline and Eric hits a splash for the win in a complete squash. Bray hits sister Abigal on Aiden after the match. He grabs the mic he says they're different types of men those who dream and never leave their couch, those who dream and fail and those who dream and change the world like him. He asks if the fans are tired of the things being as they are and says today is when he's going to change things. Today is the day Bray is going to bring down the machine leading to chants of “bring it down” and he says goodbye to NXT but if they need him you just have to follow the buzzards and ends singing “time is on my side” Winners: Wyatt Family
Backstage Corey Graves and Adrian Neville are talking about Graves one on one match with Scott Dawson and Neville says he'll be out there to back him up but Graves asks why? Looks like they're pushing the reluctant tag partners angle but he agrees to have Neville out there.
Scott Dawson vs. Corey Gaves: Sylvester LeForte comes out and cuts his incoherent promo I think about money and constant “What's” from the crowd. I hate this duo so much. Regal again compares Scott to Arn Anderson, a disgrace to Arn in my book but trying to put him over I guess. Dawson gets an arm ringer and as soon as Corey reverses he hits a forearm and throws Corey into the corner, places him across the middle rope and hits a kick and then a back elbow for a 2. Dawson's usual endless strikes begin until Corey blocks a back body drop, probably in fear of what would happen if this guy used an actual wrestling move. Corey hits a chopblock and locks in Lucky 13 for a very quick tap out. After the Shields music hits and out they come with all their gold. Seth says that they're back and last time they left Corey laying in a heap. He congratulates him on their tag titles and says they're almost like them but not quite. Ambrose says Neville stole Ohno's spot (a true fact) and says that is an injustice he then challenges Neville to a one on one match to a big pop and Neville accepts as long as it's for the US title and right now. Ambrose puts over his US title and says they'll do it next week. Neville says fine and he plans to destroy the Shield bit by bit. Winner: Corey Graves
An ad for next week plays showing the 2 matches made tonight as well as the NXT title match between Bo & Leo.
Leo Kruger & Antonio Cesaro vs. Bo Dallas & Sami Zayn: I just pray Cesaro & Zayn do most of the work here. Sami gets a big pop as well. I'd like to note that the 2 in the title match next week got very little reaction, except Bo who got tons of boos like usual. “No more Bo” chants from the start. Leo and Sami to begin, tie up to the corner Leo attempts a cheap shot but they go straight back to the tie up and Leo gets an arm ringer but Sami gets an armdrag out of it. Another tie up but Leo gets a knee and starts clubbing but Sami floats over and hits a couple of beautiful arm drags then his around the world arm drag. He looks over to Bo and the fans yell no just by a look, sadly he gets tagged and Cesaro gets tagged breaking out a “We the People” chant. Bo gets a couple of arm drags and tries to tag Sami but Cesaro boots him and hits a running uppercut and then nails Sami on the apron with a big boot. Bo gets a dropkick leading to a double tag, Sami chases Cesaro letting Leo get a cheap clothesline and a tag. Cesaro hits a mean short arm clothesline and puts his foot on Sami for a pin attempt. Sami gets driven to the corner and a tag when we go to break. We come back with Leo in control and hitting a snap suplex for a 2 and tags Cesaro. Sami gets some punches but Cesaro gets some knees and a big European Uppercut in a 2, Regal explains that the punch is illegal back in the day hence why the Uppercut was created. Cesaro gets his rear choke but Sami fights out and Leo gets the tag back in keeping the control over Sami. Leo grabs a chinlock but Sami fights back quickly and gets a sunset flip for a 2 but Leo grabs his foot as he attempts to tag, even that lead to “no” from the crowd. Cesaro comes in and we get the wishbone double team which must kill. Cesaro hits a series of forearms in the corner and Sami tries to hit a boot but Cesaro grabs it and hits a powerbomb for a 2 and a tag. Leo hits a standing double stomp for a 2 and tags out. Cesaro immediately grabs a chinlock and Sami gets a boot but Cesaro gets the tag while falling, Leo stops him but Sami gets a roll up and jumps out of it into a tag and boos as Bo comes in. Bo hits his forearms and jumping clothesline, a running corner bulldog for a 2 as Cesaro makes the save but Sami clotheslines Cesaro out and the 2 fight to the back. I wouldn't have done that myself. Bo hits his crappy belly-to-belly which is so bad Tony Dawson calls it a powerslam. Leo tries to escape but Bo throws him back in, he runs to the corner but Leo gets his boot up and hits the Slice (Lariat) for the win. Sadly this means Bo will retain next week, I would have had Leo beat Sami to be honest so that next week we go in clean as this kind of calls the finish for next week. A pretty decent match here. Winners: Leo Kruger & Antonio Cesaro
Not a great show if I'm honest a lot of none matches and little less, the Wyatt's goodbye came off well but weird since the week before they were positioned as the worst heels and this was a total babyface send off. Next week's show looks pretty weak to be honest outside the US title match. I'd say this was a pretty skippable show overall.
