NXT 25th September Review: From God to GM
I'm expecting a lot of talking on this week's NXT, Triple H is going to make an announcement on the show as is Bo Dallas. On the plus side we get a tag turmoil match so that should balance it out.
Show starts with an “Earlier today” with Brad Maddox backstage checking himself in his phone when Tyler Breeze walks in and he begins to talk about an idea when CJ Parker jumps in out of nowhere, both talk about being in the tag turmoil they argue and Brad mentions they have no partners. Tyler said he should be cloned for the match, Brad says he's found a partner Breeze jumps in with “Brad Pitt?” Maddox says no and makes CJ & Tyler a team, both moan like children and Tyler says “Anyone but him, I said I'd clone myself” CJ comes back with “That doesn't exist” and they're made a team like that. I thought this was pretty funny.
Tag Turmoil: Show officially starts with tag turmoil. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy come out and do their stick, they play off each other very well and are pretty over. They're facing Breeze & CJ, Tyler is still pretty over with the crowd. Fans chant “Breeze is gorgeous” and they boo CJ Parker, fans really do go their own way. Enzo and CJ to start with a tie up and CJ grabs a headlock, take over and headscissors out, they repeat the other way around and CJ then grabs a kick attempt and spins Enzo around. CJ does an airplane spin and throws him down, I notice at this point that Tyler is sitting on the steps not even on the apron. CJ hits his double knees in the corner and Tyler asks for the tag when Colin hits the Catatonic on CJ for the win moving on. Sylvester LeForte comes out to do his usual garbage which means Scott Dawson & Alexander Rusev are the next team, I expected that. Colin and Scott to start, Colin grabs Scott's strike and hits a knee and club for a one. Scott gets a back elbow and tags to Rusev and the 2 trade punches until Rusev runs into a big boot for a 2. Enzo gets tagged and runs into a Samoan drop leading to a tag to Scott who hits a kick. Scott puts Enzo over the ropes in the corner and hits a kick followed by a spinebuster but Enzo gets a school boy for the win. Rusev attacks after hitting a running shoulder block in the corner and the Ascensions music plays and they're probably going to win now but we go to break before the match begins. We come back with Conor in the ring and he hits a clothesline to Colin, followed by a neck snap leading to a tag to Rick. Rick does very little then tags back out, Conor hits boots and tags out having Rick go for the pin for a 2. Chop and Uppercuts by Rick, he runs into a back elbow and Colin tries to fight back but gets cut off. Tag to Conor who hits the Ultimate Warrior style endless shoulder blocks until Colin comes back with a big boot for a 1. Colin tags Enzo who runs straight into a flapjack, the Ascension doing a weird double team leading to Total Elimination for the win. This means we'll be getting the Ascension vs. Graves & Neville, a match I'm not looking forward to mainly because of the Ascension who are not over at all in any form and are pretty bad in the ring. Winners: the Ascension
Bayley vs. Sasha Banks w/Summer Rae: Renee Young joins Regal and Tony on commentary. I guess now Banks is a heel she's automatically in a team with Rae. Tie up to start, Bayley high fives for the break and Banks goes crazy with chops. Banks goes to whip but Bayley gets a drop toe hold and then a Cradle for a 2. Bayley grabs the arm and gets whipped to the corner, she attempts a float over but messes up badly luckily Banks grabbed her legs and dropped her to the mat for a 2. Bayley gets thrown into the turnbuckle then a snapmare and grabs a reverse chinlock with a body scissors. Bayley bridges back for a 2 but Banks kicks out then hits a suplex for a 2. Bayley starts fighting back and nails a forearm and axe handles, Banks gets another sick sounding chop followed by a lucha arm drag. Banks misses a body splash in the corner and Bayley hits the Hug-plex for a very near fall. Banks whips Bayley into the corner but then runs into a back elbow, Bayley jumps up to the 2nd rope but Banks yanks her onto the top rope and hits a neckbreaker for the win. This was a really good match that got very hot by the end. Rae grabs the mic and immediately fans chant “No”. Rae says she has a huge announcement and that next week Fandango will be at NXT, she also says that they will run all over NXT and the women's division and they're going to move to the WWE this leads to Emma running in and the heels running off. I should also mention that I quite liked Renee on commentary, she contributed a lot and knew what she was talking about. Winner: Sasha Banks
Aiden English vs. Bull Dempsey: Aiden asks for a spotlight and sings as he comes in, I really like this gimmick. He grabs a headlock, gets pushed off and nails a shoulder block leading back to the headlock. Aiden gets pushed off again but gets the headlock back. Bull then gets a shoulder block but Aiden nails kicks and mounts with punches while yelling “This is my show”. He grabs his composure and hits a leg drop. He then hits a twisting side effect for the win, fans chant “Encore” and he gives it to them. Winner: Aiden English
Backstage Renee tries to get a word from Summer Rae, Rae says if Emma thinks she's gonna lie down like that she's wrong, she then challenges Emma to a mix tag for next week she then asks Renee if she knows why the fans will go home happy next week and without missing a beat Renee says “Because of your outfits”. Rae says she didn't need an answer and that the reason is because she's the first lady of NXT.
El Local vs. Sami Zayn: Local aka Ricardo. Sami is super over as always. Tie up and Sami gets an arm ringer, Local rolls through but Sami comes back with a hammerlock and Local gets a headlock then shoulder block. Sami does a leapfrog then his 3 arm drags and the fans pop big time, Sami then floats over and hits a step up hurricanrana for a 2. Local hits a STO backbreaker for a 2 then a running kick to the chest. Local with a suplex for a 1 and a seated abdominal stretch. Sami fights back goes to whip Local but eats a back elbow, Local runs off but into a leg lariat. Sami gets a back body drop and a running Mafia kick in the corner for the win. Pretty good match here but as I always say what do you expect when Sami's in the ring. Bo then comes out to massive boos, he congratulates him and he's happy that Sami is listening to his mentor. Fans have actually started saying “Boo” instead of booing after Bo said in a previous promo he believed they were saying his name. He says he's finally healed and he forgives him for injuring him and then says he's ready to defend his NXT title and is having the Bo Dallas invitational next week and if he's pinned they will get a title shot. Sami interrupts him to massive cheers and says he's the first one to sign up and they can do it now, Bo says this business is about respect and he shouldn't interrupt the champ. He then announces that Sami isn't invited to the invitational at this point a fan yells “My ears are bleeding”, well lucky for him that was the end of the segment so he can go get help. Winner: Sami Zayn
Maddox is on the phone talking about Triple H and how he'll be here in any time. A man then walks in and it's Kassius Ohno and he asks why has he been gone for so long, Maddox says he believes it's because he was hurt by the Wyatt's. Ohno says he's been clear for a while so there must be another reason aka. Hey internet fans you know why! Maddox says Ohno is a D+ or C- player and Ohno comes back saying he's going to interrupt every match he then threatens to knock Maddox out. Maddox gives him a match for next week against one member of the Wyatt's and they shake on it.
Triple H comes out for his announcement. I guess this is the “main event” of the show. He welcomes us to NXT and says it's your show. He's amazed every time he comes here by the fans and the talent he then runs through some names, he's says if something happened to the main roster he could replace them with NXT and they wouldn't miss a beat and this is the future. He brings up the Rhodes family issues and Dusty being the GM, he has done what's best for business and has given Dusty time off as he's very emotional right now. He introduces the new GM (for now) John Bradshaw Layfield, a good choice in my view as he's a great promo and a great character. JBL puts himself over and what he's done, he then tells the fans to shut up, and then puts over NXT. That's pretty much it and the show ends. That screamed middle segment if I ever saw it.
Well I was wrong when I though this show would be mostly talking and I'm glad about that. Tag Turmoil wasn't much and in my view it went the wrong way of putting over the Ascension, I personally would have had them kill several teams to win hell have them beat every time their gimmick is unstoppable monsters although they've already lost to the champs twice now. Aiden was great in his role, the divas stole the show like they usually do and Sami looked good in his match. A good show in my view and it's well worth a look, like a lot of time with NXT the show flys by easily.

NXT September 19th Review: A Breeze to Sit Through
No talk about what's planned for this week's show as 1) I can't remember and 2) Got the Last of Us lined up to play for after this review.
Sami Zayn vs. Curt Hawkins: Starting the show with a match and a rematch of Sami's debut match. It was also announced that the main event is a 8 man tag but no names mentioned. Tie up to start and Curt tries a cheap shot after the break but misses. Sami gets behind and Curt drops down then gets a headlock but Sami escapes with a hammerlock and Curt runs back into the corner and hits a kick. Sami floats over and hits 2 beautiful armdrags and his around the world one. Sami with a chop in the corner and does the 10 punches for a 2. Sami snapmares and crucifixes Curt for a 2, then quickly grabs a chinlock but Curt hits a jawbreaker. Curt scoop slams for a 1, he struggled a little lifting him up. Curt chokes Sami on the ropes, then hits a soccer kick to the back leading to a chinlock. Curt gets a shoulder block but Sami comes back with a leg lariat for a 2, Curt tries to throw him out but he lands on the apron. Curt then throws Sami into the post and to the floor leading to break. We come back with Sami fighting off a suplex but Curt gets it for a 2. Curt gets another chinlock on and Sami fights out, he goes to run the ropes but Curt follows and slides out tripping him as he does in a very nice spot. Curt grabs a quick chinlock again, throws some clubbing blows and back to the chinlock. Sami gets whipped and it ends in a double clothesline. Both punch each other repeatedly until Sami gets a couple of clotheslines and gets lifted to a dropkick. Sami misses the mafia kick but he jumps up to the top and gets a crossbody for a near fall. Curt hits a pele kick of sorts for a 2. Sami floats over a back suplex but Curt hits an Impaler DDT for a 2. Curt eats a boot in the corner and Sami attempts his climb up DDT but Curt stops it and hits this weird flipping move, he put Sami's leg over his head and flipped Sami over to his stomach, for a near fall. Curt throws his elbow pads and gloves in Sami's face this fires Sami up and he fights back leading to a Mafia kick and his tornado DDT for the win. A really good opening match but what did you expect from Sami Zayn. Winner: Sami Zayn
Main event is CJ Parker, Xavier Woods & the tag champs vs. Leo Kruger, Tyler Breeze & the Ascension. We then get an advert for Triple H's DVD release I'm interested in this but I am for most superstar DVD's. Aiden English gets introduced and he demands a spotlight, he comes out singing. I guess they're giving him something other than a jobber role. To be fair he has a pretty nice voice.
Aiden English vs. Michael Q Lawyer(?): Tie up to start and Aiden slaps Q, Aiden then hits a kitchen sink and a shortarm clothesline. Aiden hits a leg drop and a twisting side effect for the win. He then demands a spotlight and gives an encore. NXT is full of stupid gimmicks but I like this one and Aiden plays it very well. Winner: Aiden English
We go backstage with Bo Dallas on the phone and Renee comes in to ask a question but Bo was leaving a message on his hotline that's in BOlivia (anything to put with Bo). Renee asks about his thoughts on Sami but Bo isn't impressed with that win and he's come up with an idea that he'll reveal next week. Bo looks so goofy when he's cutting his promos but I guess that's his character now, still don't like it. It's also revealed that Triple H will be making an announcement next week about NXT and there will be a tag turmoil to name number 1 contenders.
Tyler Breeze, Leo Kruger & the Ascension (Rick Victor & Conor O'Brian) vs. Xavier Woods, CJ Parker, Corey Graves & Adrian Neville: This match is getting time as we're 20 minutes away from the show ending but after watching Breeze's entrance my guess is 5 minutes of that will be the entrances. Neville has new music which is so generic, a real down grade from his previous one. Neville and Rick to start, Rick shoulder blocks but Neville nips up and gets an armdrag, tag to Corey who keeps hold of the arm and tags to CJ who grabs the arm and tags to Woods who grabs the arm and tags Neville who double foot stomps the arm. Rick finally grabs Neville and Leo gets the tag letting Leo punch and grab the arm, Neville does countless rolls to break out and tag Woods they repeat what they did earlier with Leo instead. This spot is just going on and on. Finally we break away from that, Corey does his gorgeous float through of a hip toss into an armdrag and then hits another arm drag into an armbar. Leo gets a knee and tags Conor, Conor does a headsnap between his legs and tags Leo. Conor does the double arm lift and Leo hits a point, you know what I'm not even going to stay it. Rick gets tagged and gets some gut shots, tagging out to Leo no Tyler at this point he's clinging onto the post and is not even on the apron fully. Leo missed a corner splash and Woods gets tagged leading to a dropkick and hits the Honor Roll clothesline and Leo rolls outside leading to the babyfaces taking the heels out with dives to the outside and we go to break. Coming back Rick has Woods in a surfboard, during the break Leo hit a great spinebuster to get control back. Woods tries to fight back but gets cut off and Leo gets the tag and he just puts in the boots, Conor gets tagged in and Tyler tags himself in to a massive pop from the crowd. Tyler hits a punch and Woods hits a bodyshot leading to Tyler running and tagging to Leo in a funny spot, it gets a “That was Awesome” chant. Leo grabs a chinlock and Woods is carrying Leo on his back trying to tag but Leo drags him back down, Woods then gets a jawbreaker and Tyler is tagged in to a big pop. Tyler drops the knee for a 1, Woods gets a bodyshot and again Tyler runs and tags Conor, I'm liking Tyler in this match. Conor drops an elbow for a 2 and gets a bodyscissors he then drags Woods into his corner. Tyler back in and attempts a suplex which is blocked and Woods gets a suplex. CJ and Conor get tagged in, CJ with a jumping clothesline and his double knees followed by a scissor side kick for a 2. Corey tries to clothesline himself and Rick out but only does himself somehow. Conor hits a full nelson slam for a 2 that is broken up. Conor misses a corner splash but comes back with a flapjack and Tyler tags in for the pin but it's a 2, CJ punches Tyler in the face and the other heels leave Tyler for tagging himself in and out as he pleases all match getting them more heat. CJ hits another big punch to the face and Woods hits Lost in the Woods. Corey comes in with a chop block and Neville tags and hits the Red Arrow for the win. A very fun main event here and Tyler Breeze was the shining star here. Winners: CJ Parker, Xavier Woods, Corey Graves & Adrian Neville
This was a nice little show that flew by and it really tried to place more focus on new stars in Aiden English's new gimmick and Tyler Breeze being so over in the main event. I don't think they were expecting Breeze to be over as he was but the match played out perfectly for it regardless. I'd say this so was worth checking out for sure as it just flew by and was a Breeze to sit through, ha ha ha ha I'll let myself out.

NXT September 11th Review: A Very Slow Pace
So here's this week's NXT review which as far as I'm aware the only match announced is Paige vs. Sasha with Summer Rae in there somewhere for some reason. Let's begin shall we.
Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs. Scott Dawson & Alexander Rusev w/Sylvester LeForte: Enzo does his usual introduction and the fans join in. LeForte does his awful introduction which you can barely understand, I seriously don't understand why made him the mouth piece he must be that awful in the ring. I rolled my eyes when Regal says Dawson is “on the line of technical genius in the ring”. Enzo & Scott to start with tie up and Enzo gets a punch in while avoiding shots and makes the tag. Colin grabs a kick and hits a knee then a club to the back and another. Tag out to Enzo, who is in all leopard print, series of punches and Scott hits a short arm clothesline that turns Enzo upside down for a 2. Rusev gets a tag and a series of falling headbutts followed by knee strikes with Enzo laying on the ropes. Tag out and Enzo eats a back elbow after knocking Colin off the apron, Scott and Rusev hit a Hart Attack with a spinning heel kick instead of a clothesline and the ref calls for the bell randomly, Regal is saying that the ref got to a 5 count so it was a DQ I'm sorry but they can't have been in for a 5 count. Real flat, bad finish that makes no sense. These 4 guys didn't gel well together at all. Winners: Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy
An advert for Bryan/Orton plays for Night of Champions and boy is Randy Orton just there in this, the heat is all on the McMahons.
Bo Dallas comes out for an interview excuse me while I do something else. Bo thanks everyone for the support, he says he believes he can fly at points. He says he came out last week to support Sami and he is Sami's mentor leading to the fans chanting for Sami. Bo says he'll give Sami a match but not a title match when he's healed. Fans were all over him here, I'll be fair and say this is better than normal but not by much. We go backstage with Renee Young who brings in CJ Parker, she asks about Tyler Breeze. CJ talks some hippy random stuff while looking at his hands and Breeze attacks from the side and takes a picture, this feud is dreadful.
Sasha Banks vs. Paige: Fans go crazy for Paige, Sasha is just random girl A in comparison. Fans chant “Happy Birthday” I'm guessing this was taped on her birthday who is 21. Sasha gets a arm ringer but Paige breaks it off and throws Sasha off the ropes chest first 2 times, Sasha gets a knee and attempts to do Paige's move but she blocks and does that move for a 3rd time for a 2. Paige sweeps for some pins, Sasha gets a bodyscissors and roll up for a 2. Sasha gets behind and they just stand there for a couple of minutes, looked odd. Paige hits a series of back elbows in the corner and chokes her, Sasha comes back by School girling Paige into the corner in a nice spot. We come back from break with Sasha locking in the camel clutch and then a rear chin lock. Sasha hits a back elbow for a 2 and gets back in the chin lock. Paige fights out and gets a school girl but then eats a dropkick for a 2 and again back into the chin lock, I like that keep going for the same hold. Paige bridges back for a 2 and Sasha gets a kick then attempts a suplex but Paige hits a nice snap suplex. Paige goes on the apron and hits a series of knee lifts on Sasha, Sasha gets a small package and avoids a dropkick. Sasha gets a crossbody but Paige rolls through for the win. I liked this match a lot actually, Sasha showed me a lot more than I was expecting. Paige goes to console Sasha but she keeps pushing her away and Sasha attacks from behind then hitting awful chops and a neckbreaker so she's now a heel. Winner: Paige
We go backstage with Summer Rae running into Sasha, Sasha says that felt good and she thanks her then hugs.
Leo Kruger vs. Xavier Woods: Woods recently appeared on a WWE house show signs he could be called up sometime soon. Woods comes out dancing, for someone who was attacked last week and is looking for revenge he probably shouldn't be dancing. Woods runs after Leo from the start and Leo keeps going into the ropes and then to the outside. Woods finally grabs him but Leo yanks his arm over he ropes and begins to attack it with elbows and a arm stunner, Leo then grabs an arm bar. This is all Woods trying to fight back and Leo dragging him back down into the arm bar, very little else but it's not needed for this story. Woods finally breaks out with an arm drag but Leo gets a knee, Woods then gets a tilt-a-whirl headscissors to send Leo to the outside. Woods goes for a plancha but Leo moves out of the way leading to a break. We come back with Leo putting in the boots and dropping elbows for a 1. Wrist clutch suplex for a 2, fans seem to have turned on this match a little. Back to the arm bar hold and into a hammerlock, much like earlier very little is happening but Woods getting driven back down. Woods hits a jaw breaker and leg kicks to come back. Woods floats over and hits a dropkick but runs into a backbreaker for a 2 followed by a suplex for a 2. Leo misses the Bret Hart elbow drop. Leo runs into a back elbow and Woods starts fighting back, hits a discuss punch and a dropkick. Woods goes for his rolling thunder clothesline but is caught into a spinebuster for a 2. Leo goes for a lariat but eats an Enzuigiri and hits “lost in the woods” for a 2 then hits his clothesline and Sole Food for the win. Honestly this match fell a little flat to me, they had slowed down so much that the fans fell out of it and even the finishing sequence couldn't pull them back in.
I left this show feeling as if very little happened to be honest, the divas were good and the main event wasn't dreadful but it was just lacking something. Nothing was set up for next week. So final thought is Meh this show was meh to me.

NXT September 4th Review: The Sami Zayn Show
Once again going into an NXT show I'm excited for a Sami Zayn match, today's match with Jack Swagger has received high praise for those who were there. Everything else is an after thought right now and after last week's show I hope this show is a lot better and they were just a little off that week.
Bayley & Charlotte vs. Alicia Fox & Aksana: Aksana comes out to softcore porn music, fitting for her as that's probably what she should be doing instead of wrestling. Bayley and Aksana start, Aksana offers a hug and knees Bayley as she comes in for it. Aksana hits a sideslam and slowly crawls around for some reason, leading to a weak kick for a 2. Aksana hits 2 elbows for another 2 and tags to Fox. Fox hits a single leg dropkick for a 2 and then a northern lights suplex leading to another tag. 2 boots and a tag, another boot and another tag don't see the point of that. Alex Riley drops the Miz in conversation, can I say he's awful on commentary. Aksana grabs a cobra clutch and then chokes her in the corner with her boot. Bayley finally fights back with a belly to belly suplex letting Charlotte come in. She hits her splits school girl and then the Flair flop over the corner. Charlotte climbs up and Fox goes to throw her (the infamous Flair spot) but Charlotte rolls through and hits a jumping clothesline for a 2. Bayley gets the blind tag when Charlotte had Fox up in a Fireman's carry. Fox hits a Mafia kick in the corner which also hits Aksana and this lets Bayley roll up Fox for the win, Fox was basically in the ropes during this so she came off as an idiot for not grabbing them. A nice little tag to open things up. Winners: Bayley & Charlotte
Backstage with Scott Dawson & Sylvester LeForte, I think LeForte is trying to look like Randy Savage circa 1999. They pan over to show Rusev he doesn't make sense. LeForte says tonight is about revenge on Mason Ryan and says he has their back and asks Rusev what he will do to Ryan and this leads to him breaking a plank of wood with “Mason” on it over his knee. LeForte says you win, we get paid and we'll celebrate. So many damn accent's it's so hard to understand.
Rick Victor vs. Corey Graves: OK I officially hate the Ascension, I groan when they come out and at least that's a reaction which they're not getting from the crowd. Graves takes down straight away and attacks with punches, picks up Rick and continues to hit punches. Rick gets some punches in but gets cut off. Riley mentions Miz again, we get it you were in WWE. Graves starts attacking the leg with kicks and a spinning toe hold but Rick kicks him off, Graves then grabs a front face lock. Rick runs him in the corner and attacks the ribs, which are injured from last week. Graves start fighting back and hits a suplex, for someone injured he sure is controlling a lot of this. Graves hits a cross body but can't pin because of his ribs and Rick stomps his ribs. Graves start fighting back again and hits an Enzuigiri but Rick drops him on the ropes on his ribs. We go to break and come back with Rick in control. Rick removes the tape and drives in a kick. Rick hits a flurry of chops and uppercuts, then hits a gutbuster for a 2. Rick grabs a camel clutch and then a series of stomps. Rick grabs the clutch again and then drops an elbow for a 2. Rick catches a boot but Graves starts fighting back anyways eventually hitting a jumping knee (to no reaction) and then a STO. Conor climbs up but Neville takes him out, this allows Rick to lift up Graves but he rolls him up for the win. Meaning the tag champs have beat both members in 2 weeks. A slow bad match, I like Graves but the fact is no one cares about the Ascension and putting them against the champs won't change that. Winner: Corey Graves
Backstage with Sasha putting on make up and Summer Rae shows up and asks her how she'll become relevant next week. Sasha tells her to go away as she's making trouble for no reason, Rae comes back saying some random things, seriously there's no real connection here or reason for why Rae is here. Sasha is wrestling Paige next week and Rae wants her to release her “inner rage” next week, I'm guessing they're teasing a heel turn but it's not coming off well. We then go to Renee who is with Paige, she asks what's the deal with Summer Rae. Paige replies with what I'm thinking “I don't care” she then says Sasha is good but she's the champion, she's not here to be a cover girl but to cover girls in the ring and to become the most dominant diva who will give Sasha the fight of her life next week.
Mason Ryan vs. Alexander Rusev: Sylvester comes out to introduce Rusev because that's what I need more of this guy! Rusev has to get rid of that wood gimmick it makes him look like a loser, oh talking about looking like a loser here's Mason Ryan. Tie up to start, does Rusev have the Eiffel Tower tattoo'd on his back? They keep pushing each other off from the tie up until Rusev hits a boot to the gut and a club to the back. Ryan hits a back elbow and a shoulder block, Ryan then dunks a clothesline but eats a nice spinning heel kick for a 2. Rusev hits 4 falling headbutts and then headbutts Ryan in the chest, Rusev then does the Al Snow arm trapped headbutts and a Vader attack for a 2. Rusev slowly hits a kick to the gut and misses a splash in the corner doing the Slaughter bump, Ryan grabs him by the throat but the 2 trade punches. Ryan starts fighting back and hits a corner clothesline, then another and a running boot. Scott gets on the apron and Ryan brings him in and out, LeForte gets up but Ryan grabs him letting Rusev attack him and lock in the camel clutch for the tap out. This is much better than I expected and I'm liking Rusev, sadly he's saddled with these 2 idiots. My one problem is the camel clutch was used several times early in the previous match and it's a finish here, the agents should have picked up on that and made Rick use a different hold. Winner: Alexander Rusev
We go backstage to see Leo Kruger has attacked Xavier Woods and is saying something, seriously these accents are killing me. Guessing they'll be feuding.
Sami Zayn vs. Jack Swagger w/Zeb Coulter: They run into the tie up, Jack misses a punch and Sami gets a series of blows but Jack gets a low kick and a running shoulder block then another. Sami gets a leapfrog and a leg lariat, fans are really hot for this. Sami hits a series of chops for a 1 count, then gets lifted up to hit a dropkick. Sami goes for a dive but Jack moves and Sami does an arabian press onto his knees, fans are now super hot for this! Sami comes out and drives Jack into the apron, Zeb distracts Sami allowing Jack to hit a nice clothesline and boots. A series of knees in the corner and a running knee leads to a break. We come back after an awesome advert for Punk vs. Axel/Heyman at Night of Champions, man how much of an afterthought is Axel? Jack has a chin lock and then hits a belly to belly for a 2 after Sami fights back. Jack hits a suplex, knees and an incredible shortarm clothesline which Sami sold great. Jack runs into Sami who keeps inching back and pulls down the ropes leading to a fantastic tope con heelio. Sami climbs to the top and hits a crossbody for a near fall. Sami teases the Mafia kick but Jack blocks and lifts up Sami allowing him to roll him up for a 2. Jack then hits a big slam for a 2, Jack then goes for the Oklahoma Stampede made famous by Dr. Death Steve Williams, but Sami escapes the slam and hits a Blue Thunder for a near fall. Jack gets the leg and goes for the Ankle lock but Sami fights back, Jack rolls him over straight into the Swagger bomb for a near fall. Gets a “This is Awesome” chants from the crowd and Jack gets the Ankle lock after pulling down his straps meaning Kurt Angle is really pissed!, fans erupt when he gets the ropes. Sami is kicking from the ground and won't let go off his ankle. Jack goes for the Vader bomb but Sami gets the knees up and hit running Mafia kick for an extremely hot near fall. Sami is clubbing Jack down to the mat and he climbs up to the top but Jack catches him, Sami gets a sunset flip bomb for another near fall. Out comes Bo Dallas for some reason, fans focus on him and are hating him this distracts Sami and lets Jack get the Ankle lock leading to the tap out. What an insanely good match, seriously this was fantastic and even Bo there should lead to Sami against him down the line so I'm OK with that although I would have had Sami win here.
Since day one of his debut Sami has been amazing, NXT is really his show now. If he's not NXT champ soon he should be called up to the main roster as he's just that damn good. A better show from last week and the main event a lone is worth going out of your way to watch, that match had so much heat from a crowd that came off as dead for a good bulk of this show. At the end of the day this is really the Sami Zayn show now.
